Waving USA Flag Character Counts

This Saturday and Sunday outing gave us the opportunity to introduce some second-year Webelos to Boy Scouting, and also served as an early warm-up for a "really great 4 or 5-day backpacking hike", which Scoutmaster Ken has been planning for months.

Toolbox Springs is about 3-1/2 miles from the trailhead, and about 2200 feet higher...

I heard a Scout comment:
"Doesn't ANY of this trail go downhill?"

"Only on Sunday" came the reply.

Some logs were found downhill from camp and looked like perfect benches for the campfire. The Scouts got some rope, tied the logs (timber-hitch, naturally) and pulled them up to camp.
